Sake Tasting at the Kampai Festival of Sake

So last year at this time I had a chance to attend KAMPAI! Festival of Sake  with a good friend Ken Sammual @inyourmouthto he is a sake tasting master it was definitely a great time I got to try several different sakes & I can totally taste the difference between each one very distinct then tasting between different wines. Its all about the different kind of water that is used to make sake. They had 100+ sakes, 36 brewers, 41 brands there representing them selves I didn’t get to try them but the ones I did were very good

This year its May 30th in the Distillery District

But before I started tasting the sake at the festival I got treated to sake tasting of 6 different sakes & educational learning seminar on sake an hour or 2 before the festival started
So that was very cool & was really awesome learned so much from that session so I understood and appreciated it more.

The 2013 edition will forgo the sake tasting seminar make room for double of the Japanese restaurants that were there last year  that will be presenting there awesome dishes

I am surprised at how amazingly good the sake from the Ontario Sake Company here in Toronto’s Distillery District is consider all the worlds top sakes come from Japan so whats in sake & how is it made
Sake ingrendiats
Rice, Water, Kojhn, Yeast

There was great entertainment with drumming & performances with great food great sake & goodfriends All in all I had great time learning & tasting the sake ways

I am definitely going back this year it is well put together & run efficiently
